House of the Dead - Scarlet Dawn

At last! A new House of the Dead game!!!

The House of the Dead - Scarlet Dawn is the new episode in The House of the Dead series by Sega. 9 years after The House of the Dead EX.

This new episode promises the largest crowds of zombies ever seen in a House of the Dead game, perfectly animated through Unreal Engine 4.
The theather cabinet features air canons and a vibrating seat (as the one of Dark Escape 3D). A special lightning will light up the back of cabinet as people walk by in order to attract players. We can expect the cabinet to use mounted guns as seen in most new theater shooting games.

Players play the role of a man and a woman in the game but we don't know their identity yet.

The current developement version of The House of the Dead - Scarlet Dawn will be on location test at Sega Akihabara #3 from Friday January 19th until Monday January 21st, 2018.

The actual release is planned for later this year.

The House of the Dead - Scarlet Dawn est le nouvel épisode de la série The House of the Dead de Sega. 9 ans après The House of the Dead EX.

Ce nouvel épisode nous promets les hordes de zombies les pus imposantes jamais vues dans un House of the Dead, parfaitemant animées grâce au moteur Unreal Engine 4.
La borne fermée est équipée de pulseurs d'air et d'un siège vibrant (comme celle de Dark Escape 3D). Un éclairage spécial éclaire l'arrière de la borne quand des gens passent à proximité afin d'attirer les joueurs potentiels. On imagine que le jeu utilisera des fusils fixés au control panel comme la plupart des nouveaux jeux de tir dans ce type de borne.

Les joueurs jouent le rôle d'un homme et d'une femme dans le jeu mais nous ne savons pas encore de qui il s'agit.

La version de développement de The House of the Dead - Scarlet Dawn sera en location test au game center Sega Akihabara #3 du vendredi 19 janvier au lundi 21 janvier 2018.

La sortie du jeu est prévue dans le courant de cette année.

Really fun. Like really really fun.

There is a “Normal” and “Master” mode to choose from at the beginning of the game.

The Location Test allows you to play the first level which takes place in Scarecrow’s Mansion where Kate and Ryan, AMS agents, are attending a dinner event under cover which is why Kate is in an evening gown.

Chapter 0 - Scarecrow’s House
Kate and Ryan are casually chatting and then immediately there’s an explosion. The party organizer stands awkwardly in front of you, only to get grounded and pounded by a zombie that bursts through the door. A 200 second counter comes up, letting you know you need to survive that time until a chopper comes to rescue you. One of the guests rolls a barrel and says “shoot this!”, giving you the chance to kill a bunch of zombies at once. They flee to a chopper, which is immediately taken down by a swarm of the undead. The chopper falls and the two agents manage to jump to safety, then find a motorcycle to escape. Before they move to another building they get their first glimpse of Chariot, who flings a couple of zombies at Ryan and Kate. Round 1 closes with the two standing outside the mansion.

Round 2 we see them back in the mansion on clean up, going through the dinning hall as waves of zombies pile up behind each other. As they go through the living room we meet the leeches for the first time.
They leave the mansion again and met with waves of leeches. At this point the shotgun becomes available for 24 shots.
Ryan points to the motor bike saying let’s use that. “Be careful, lady on board”. As you ride into another building you have to break a door down with bullets. You let the bike slide from under you then shoot the gas tank to clean out more zombies.

The two find a hitech room with a map of the globe. As they are about to inspect, Chariot destroys everything, and is the boss for this level. Kate uses her phone to scan the boss and figure his weak point. Once he’s beat he falls, the axe lands next to him and falls into his neck.. probably not dead enough.

Ryan’s final comment is “How’s it feel? Feeling good. (Down intonation on “good”, so it’s not like it’s a question.. the voice acting is all

Weapon changes do happen however so far seem to be restricted to certain events and limited. Like you have access to a rocket launcher against Chariot but no other time. You have access to a shot gun but only at the point where there are lots of leeches.

There are hostages in the beta but only a few. You have several chances to save your fellow agent which gives points rather than lives, which don’t seem to exist in this early edition anyway.

Like HotD3 you can get knocked down and stomped.

One last thing. The voice acting is, as expected, truly quite horrendous. And I love it!

So what we know so far (some info coming from Website of the Dead Twitter):

• The game controller looks a bit like an Apache-SMG with recoil effect. It has two handles, a second trigger and a switch to change weapons.[/b].
  
• The cabinet features 5.1 surround sound, an air cannon and vibration seat and floor.
  
• The game has two game modes: Normal and Master.
  
• In normal mode, different weapons are used for specific moments of the game.
  
• The Master mode is more difficult but you start with 2 weapons of your choice out of 6 (shotgun, flamethrower, grenade launcher, hand grenade, laser gun and rocket launcher).
  
• Main characters are Ryan Taylor (James Taylor's brother) & Kate Green (already featured in The House of the Dead 4)
  
• The action takes place after the events of The House of the Dead 4.
  
• The two chapters playable at the location test are "Chapter 0: Scarecrow's Mansion" and "Chapter 1: Kate & Ryan"
  
• There are hostages and civilians to rescue (as in House of the Dead 1 & 2) and "save your partner" sequences as in House of the Dead III.
  
• The Chariot is back in damaged form with new attacks.
  
• There are branching paths prompted the same way as in The House of the Dead III.
  
• The cabinet features a button to lower the volume of explosions.
  
• Aime card is required to unlock Master mode in the Japanese version. Aime card allows you to take part in nationwide ranking and win trophies.

Il me semblait avoir lu que c'était sur Nu 2 mais il est plus probable que ce soit sur le nouveau ALLS, le système qui fait tourner Soul Reverse et Fate/Grand Order Arcade.

Rien n'est encore confirmé en tout cas.

House of the Dead Scarlet Dawn has 4 different endings:
- Master mode without continue
- Master mode with continues
- Normal mode without continue
- Normal mode with continues

To display score, insert enough coins to have at least one credit, then enter the following command using your gun:

Trigger > A > B > Trigger > A > B > A > Trigger > B

A is the side button used to switch weapon
B is the front trigger

You'll hear a sound if the command is entered correctly. Then press Start button to start the game with your score displayed at the top of the screen.

Pour afficher le score, insérez assez d'argent que pour obtenir un crédit. Entrez ensuite la commande suivante en utilisant votre arme:

Gâchette > A > B > Gâchette > A > B > A > Gâchette > B

A désigne le bouton sur le côté utilisé pour changer d'arme
B désigne la gâchette frontale

Vous entendrez un son si la manip a bien été effectuée. Appuyez alors sur Start pour démarrer la partie avec le score affiché en haut de l'écran.
