Gamecristal online update ?!

I have a Gamecristal in my Sega Naomi Cabinet but i should be able to do an online update, but i can't find the update program..

anyone got tips ?

I'm not sure it can do "online update". Updates can be done using the USB port located behind the "AUX. PORTS" plate. Maybe Cristaltec was offering updates through their website (http://www.cristaltec.com/) but it doesn't exist anymore.

You can try to connect the box to a modem using the ethernet port and see what happens but I doubt that you'll get any result...

By the way, the Gamecristal is a PC running Windows 98 SE and a modified MAME32 emulator. Maybe it's possible to change the games by pluging the Gamecristal harddisk in a PC but I would be cautious about that because many checks are done by the Gamecristal to ensure that the hard disk is original (even cloned ones don't work). So this method sounds pretty risky...

i think it's pretty old, i'm gonna wait for my new jamma board that is comming with UPS, the 1069 in 1 (xxx version with Killer Instinct, etc)

It will work with your naomi as it supports VGA output, however I wouldn't count too much on Killer Insinct as some games are still really poorly emulated (like those Midway's games)

Ik heb het volgende probleem. Mijn HDD in de GAMECRISTAL is defect en ik kan nergens meer krijgen. Kan jij mij hiermee helpen een oplossing voor te vinden.

Ik zal eens kijken of ik de mijne nog vind anders mag je die kopen voor een appeltje, en anders weet ik niet direct een oplossing hiervoor.. mss ook eens kijken bij jammaboards voor een andere products.
