Pokémon Frienda is a new card game with touch screen from Takara Tomy and Marvelous. It is scheduled to be launched in July 2024 and is the successor to Pokémon MEZASTAR.
You battle and capture Pokemon by touching the screen and collect "Frienda Picks" that are dispensed from the machine. Each cabinet is equipped with two 50-inch monitors. when tag play (simultaneous play) occurs with the player next to you, the image displayed on the screen will connect with the one next to you.
The "Frienda Pick" is a small rectangular item with a large illustration of Pokemon printed on the front and various information about Pokemon printed on the back. The bottom right corner of the front has a embossed design with a Pokeball engraved on it. Frienda Picks are divided into grades of rarity from Grade 2 to Grade 5. Grade 5, known as Super Treasure Pokémon, are luxuriously designed with impressive illustrations drawn on them in addition to being molded in a special color.
Pokémon Frienda is a 3-on-3 battle game. By touching the friendly Pokemon that appear on the touch panel, you can choose which Pokemon to attack with, and when using a move, you can increase damage by repeatedly pressing a button, and perform various actions by operating the touch panel.
Players who have played Mezasta will be able to scan some of the "tags" of items distributed in Pokemon Mezasta and players who have registered "Memory Tags" will receive special benefits.
