Been registered since 2014 but never done anything here. Checked out the forum again just now to find info on Intial D 8 Infinity, or any Initial D arcade machine if one is available in Belgium. Then I decided it's probably a good idea to introduce myself shortly, haha.

I'm 25 y/o and I live in Kapellen, very near Antwerp. Sadly there are no arcade venues near my place. I only get to play on arcades when I'm at Oostende or Westende for some Outrun 2! I hope to buy my very own arcade cabinet in the future. Initial D 8 Infinity would be awesome to have, but that's probably a bit too unrealistic. Outrun 2 will be more realistic, or even Mario Kart Arcade GP DX maybe, we'll see, it's just a dream.

Outside of arcades, I spend my time mostly in competitive Mario Kart where I play for a team and play tournaments against other teams over the whole world.

I remember of a café in Antwerpen where there were some arcade machines including Daytona USA "To the Maxx" cabinets and a bugged Indiana Jones pinball that kept giving extra balls so you basically played for free. I don't remember the name though...

2 Initial D games were released after Initial D 8: Initial D Zero (which use artwork from the new movie trilogy) and Initial D The Arcade (the one currently in operation in Japan which use artwork from the manga). The new cabinet used for the new Initial D games feature a 6-speed speed shifter, a smaller steering wheel and a better sound system than the Initial D 4-8 cab.
Last time I checked, Initial D Zero cabinets went for 7500€ in Europe (for a pair). The good thing is that the game can be set to English (unlike Initial D 8 which is Japanese only).
Personally, I prefer Initial D 8 over Zero, but it's probably just a matter of taste.

Mario Kart Arcade GP DX is still very expensive, unfortunately.
